Nature

Ever since I have arrived in Battleford, people have come up to me to tell me about all the wildlife I will see while I am here. After being here for two and a half weeks, I have seen one deer from a distance running across the road, a Magpie, deer tracks, and a striped gopher that I totally thought might be a chipmunk at first but is a striped gopher, otherwise known as a thirteen-lined ground squirrel. It is certainly not a chipmunk, they have different ears and different stripes.

I see more wildlife in my backyard in Bowmanville! Come on Saskatchewan! gimme some wildlife!

Although, I must say, going for a run on a trail and seeing fresh deer tracks was something new to me! Well, this post is mostly to give you a taste of some of the "wildlife" I have seen so far.
I am still hoping to see a moose one of these days!
